Privacy Policy for Cursio
Effective date: August 6, 2026 - Vero North provides Cursio, a timer and workout app for Apple devices. This Privacy Policy explains how Cursio handles information when you use the app.
Information Cursio stores
Cursio stores your timers, workout history, settings, and optional workout recaps on your device. This information supports the app’s core timer, workout, history, and personalization features.Vero North does not operate its own servers to collect or sell your personal information.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Cursio may read workout and heart-rate data and may save completed workouts to the Health app.Health data is used only to provide your workout experience. It is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data mining.You can disable Apple Health access at any time in Cursio or in the Health app’s permissions settings.
iCloud sync
iCloud sync is optional. When enabled, it can sync custom timers and a limited version of workout history between your devices using your Apple account.Heart-rate data, calorie data, detailed phase records, and AI workout recaps are not included in iCloud workout-history sync. Apple handles iCloud data according to its own privacy policy and your Apple account settings.You can disable iCloud sync in Cursio’s Settings.
Apple Music and other audio
Cursio can optionally lower or pause background audio during workouts. For Apple Music pause and resume controls, Cursio requests permission through Apple’s MediaPlayer system.Cursio does not sell, share, or use your music-listening information for advertising. Music controls are used only to manage playback during a workout.
AI workout recaps
AI workout recaps are optional. When enabled, recaps are generated on your device from your saved workout data. They remain on your device unless you choose to share them.Workout recaps are not medical advice.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Cursio uses them for timer and workout alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in Cursio or in your device settings.
Tracking and sharing
Cursio does not include third-party advertising or tracking. We do not sell your personal information or health information.
Crash and diagnostic reporting
Cursio uses Sentry to send crash reports and performance data so we can find and fix bugs. These reports do not include your name, IP address, screenshots, or workout and health data.
Your choices and deletion
You can turn off Apple Health, notifications, AI workout recaps, and iCloud sync in Cursio’s Settings.You can delete timers and workout history from within the app. Data stored on your device is removed when you delete it from the app or uninstall the app, subject to any data you choose to retain through your Apple account or device backups.
Children’s privacy
Cursio is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Cursio or applicable law. We will post any updated version on this page and update the effective date.
